The story of IIM Indore begins with its stellar placements, where students have consistently reached new heights bagging packages as high as ₹1.14 Crore for the 2021–2023 batch. Behind this success lies IIM Indore’s identity as an Institution of Excellence, established by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Founded in 1996 and nurtured under the Indian Institutes of Management Act 2017 as an Institute of National Importance, IIM Indore has become a hub where rigorous academics, industry engagement, and leadership development converge. Nestled atop a scenic 193-acre hillock campus, the institute offers state-of-the-art infrastructure, advanced IT systems, world-class hostels, and even a sports complex that inspires both intellect and resilience.

Adding to its pioneering spirit is the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), launched in 2011, the first of its kind in India. Accredited by the Association of MBAs, London (AMBA) for its management years, IPM blends three years of foundation with two years of advanced management learning across 15 structured terms. Designed exclusively for talented students right after Class XII, the program shapes them into leaders equipped with analytical rigor, global exposure, and a vision to transform industries. At IIM Indore, every classroom, every placement, and every program tells a story of ambition, excellence, and leadership in the making.

In 2024, IIM Indore reinforced its global stature by ranking 27th in Asia (5th among IIMs) in the QS Global MBA Rankings and securing the 151+ band globally (6th among IIMs) in the QS MiM Rankings, with an improved Thought Leadership score (50.6 in 2024 from 48.4 in 2023) backed by 239 research publications, while also being recognized as part of the elite “BlackI” IIMs, reflecting its legacy, academic excellence, and international prominence.
IPM's importance is that the five-year integrated program in management offered by the IIMs saves a lot of time by getting both bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the same time.
For the 2025–26 batch, there are 150 seats, distributed as per Government of India’s reservation policy (27% OBC-NCL, 15% SC, 7.5% ST, 10% EWS, 5% PwD).
Approximately 30,000-30,220 students appeared for the 2025 exam, reflecting the program’s high demand and competitiveness.
The course fee for domestic students is ₹5,00,000 per year for the first three years and for international students ₹7,50,000 per year, with the last two years charged as per prevailing PGP fees.view
At the end of five years, students are awarded a dual degree BA (Foundations of Management) and MBA subject to fulfilling all academic requirements.
The program mandates a social internship at the end of Year 2 and a business internship between Years 4 and 5.
IPM students also participate in Summer Placements after Year 4, attracting leading recruiters from BFSI, FMCG, Media, PR, and other sectors.
The Student Exchange Program at IIM Indore for IPM students offers a trimester-long international study opportunity (in the 3rd or 5th year), enabling cultural immersion, academic enrichment through specialized courses, and global exposure at partner universities, while also fostering mutual learning by hosting foreign exchange students on campus, coordinated by the student-run STEP committee.
